2 Days Rwanda gorilla trekking is an extraordinary experience that will take you Rwanda’s only destination where you can track gorillas and that is Volcanoes National Park which is located in the Northern part of the country and also being part of the Virunga ranges. The park covers an area of about 160km squared bordering Mgahinga National Park of Uganda and Virunga National Park of Democratic Republic of Congo. The park is also endowed with other wildlife for example forest elephants, golden monkeys, buffaloes, bush pigs, birds among other species. The park also hosts other Mountains that are part of the Virunga ranges for example Mountain Karisimbi, Gahinga, Bisoke, Sabinyo and Muhabura therefore hiking is another activity that can be done in Volcanoes National Park. On your first day of the trip, Glory Summit Tours and Travel driver guide will pick you from the hotel or at the Airport in the early morning and take you to Kigali City for a tour where you will be able to visit the cleanest city in Africa. You will visit Kigali Gisozi Genocide war memorial center, visit the King’s palace, visit different markets and thereafter, you will have a delicious lunch and embark on the journey to the Park which will take you about 2-3 hours, arriving in the evening, check-in to the lodge accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Arise in the early morning for a mouthwatering breakfast, head to Kinigi the park headquarters where you will be briefed about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts, be allocated a gorilla family to track and then head to the park to meet the gorillas, spend one hour with them, take pictures and videos, return to the park headquarter where you will meet your driver guide to transfer you to the park for lunch and then head to Kigali for a flight back home or to other destinations.
