Tour Overview

2 days birding in Lake Mburo National Park is a safari that is going to expose you to one of Uganda’s best birding destinations known to house over 350 bird species including water birds, savannah associated bird types, forest birds and migratory bird species. Bird watching in Lake Mburo National Park is strictly done near the salt licks, Rubanga swamp, Mirit swamp, Lake Mburo, Warukiri swamp and along the Park’s trails. During your 2 days birding expedition in Lake Mburo National Park, you will visit areas of Rubanga forest to spot forest associated bird species, Warukiri swamp and Lake Mburo for other bird species like the water and savannah bird species. Expect to encounter the prehistoric shoebill stork and other birds like the pied kingfisher, giant kingfisher, swamp warbler, black-headed heron, painted snipe, African fin-foot, saddle-billed stork, Egyptian goose to mention but a few.
