Take many photos as you can and purchase some souvenirs from the craft shops around before proceeding with your drive to the Park. Head off for a boat cruise after lunch as you look out for bird species like the elusive shoebill stork, papyrus Gonolek, herons, weavers, swamp warblers, pink-backed cormorants and many more. Return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Have your morning breakfast served and head off for a guided expedition in Warukiri swamp where you will spot several bird types after which you will proceed to Rubanga forest as you look out for forest associated bird species like grey woodpecker, black crake, ground hornbills, black-bellied bustard, Denham’s bustard, eastern plantain eater, Senegal coucal, African cuckoo, spotted crake, African rail, grey crowned cranes, marsh sandpipers, Hadada ibis, palm-nut vulture, forest wood hoopoe, African pied hornbill, red-billed dwarf hornbill to mention but a few.
