10 days Uganda best safari unleashes what a Ugandan safari has to offer for example encountering the big five animals on your visit to Murchison Falls National Park with an en-route at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, Uganda’s primates in Kibale National Park that is regarded as the world’s primate capital, bountiful wildlife in Queen Elizabeth National Park that hosts the Kazinga channel a home to a wide range of animals and bird species including the world’s largest concentration of hippopotamuses and encountering one of the biggest and most powerful primates with which we share 98% of our DNA as you hike through misty and thick forests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Expect to encounter the world’s largest antelope known as the eland that only thrive in Lake Mburo National Park within Uganda.
Pickup will be at the airport or your hotel in Entebbe to be driven to Murchison Falls National Park with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos. You will take part in rhino trekking with the guidance of experienced ranger guides through the bush to wherever the rhinos will be. You will have the opportunity to watch these endangered and magnificent creatures in their natural habitat before you proceed for your lunch en-route in Masindi. Arrival in the Park will be in the late afternoon to be driven to the Murchison Falls to visit the top of the falls and then proceed to your reserved lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
Have your early morning breakfast served and head off for a game drive in the northern sector of the Park where you will lookout for animals like the giraffes, elephants, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, oribis, buffaloes, Uganda kobs among others. Get back to your lodge for lunch before you head off for a boat cruise that sets off at Parra along the Nile River upstream to the bottom of the falls while spotting schools of hippopotamuses, crocodiles along the sandbanks and vast bird species such as African darter, giant kingfisher, veracious dove, grey-headed kingfisher, swamp fly-catcher, pied kingfisher and many more. You will return to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
You will have breakfast and checkout to transfer to Kibale National Park with your lunch en-route in Fort Portal after which you will proceed with your drive to check-in at your reserved lodge in Kibale National Park. You will proceed for a tour with in Bigodi wetland which is a home to over 200 bird species, mammals and primates that will be encountered during your nature walk in this jungle swamp. Bird species that will be spotted include the great blue turaco, waxbills, weavers, papyrus Gonolek, kingfishers and many more as well as primates like blue monkeys, grey checked mangabeys, red colobus monkeys, black and white colobus, olive baboons and many more. Get back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Today morning, have your breakfast served and report to the Park headquarters for a briefing about chimpanzee trekking. Ranger guides will be there to assist you as you penetrate through thick forests to search for a habituated troop of chimpanzees. You will be allowed an hour with the chimpanzees before you return back to your lodge to have lunch. After lunch, you will checkout to be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en-route at the equator in Kikorongo arriving at your prearranged lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
Enjoy your early morning breakfast and head off for a game drive as you lookout for several animals like the African elephants, cape buffaloes, hippopotamuses, lions, hyenas, leopards, warthogs, Uganda kobs, oribis, waterbucks, topis, bushbucks to mention but a few. Return back to the lodge for your lunch after which you will proceed to cruise along the Kazinga channel that harbors a wide range of animals and bird species. Expect to cruise past schools of hippopotamuses, crocodiles and colonies of vast bird types while you spot other animals quench their thirst along the channel shores. Get off the boat to be driven back to your lodge to have dinner and an overnight.
After your morning breakfast, checkout and set off for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park while you enjoy your en-route game drive in the Ishasha sector where you will spot tree climbing lions hanging up in tree branches. You will have your lunch along the way proceeding to arrive in the afternoon to check-in at your booked lodge. You will have a relaxed evening at your lodge as you wait to have dinner, an overnight stay and a gorilla trek in the next morning to encounter one of the world’s largest primates in their natural habitat.
Wake up to a scrumptious breakfast and report to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking dos and don’ts. You will hit the misty forests to embark on the search of the gentle giants taking you to about 1 to 6 hours to locate a gorilla family depending on their movements. You will enjoy an hour with the gorillas after which you will return back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch you will be guided by a Batwa local guide as you have an insight about their ancient life style, history and traditions. You will also enjoy their cultural performances before you get back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
Grab yourself a cup of coffee and checkout to be driven to Lake Bunyonyi which Africa’s second deepest Lake and known to have 29 Islands each with a historical story attached to it. This is a 3 hours’ drive which is so enjoyable with scenic landscapes of the Switzerland of Africa while you capture misty distant views of the Virunga region. You will arrive at your reserved lodge to check-in and have lunch after which you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi to jump on a local canoe ride as you enjoy the Lake’s bird life. You may embark on a nature walk on the forest trail in Bushara before you return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight.
After your morning breakfast, you will return to Lake Bunyonyi to explore some of its major and interesting Islands on a boat cruise for example the Akempene Island, Bwama Island, the Bucaranuka Island and many more each with a historical story to be told. You will return to your lodge to have lunch, checkout to be driven to Lake Mburo National Park which is the only home to elands and the largest population of zebras in Uganda. Dinner and an overnight stay will be at your reserved lodge.
Today enjoy your morning breakfast and head off for a game drive as you look out for uncommon elands, impalas, topis, klipspringers, zebras, buffaloes, warthogs, waterbucks, giraffes to mention but a few. Several bird species will as well be spotted after which you will return to your lodge for lunch. Checkout after lunch to embark on your drive to Kampala with a stopover at the equator line in Kayabwe to take some pictures at the monument and purchase some souvenirs from the craft shops to take with you back home. Arrival will be in the evening to be dropped off at a hotel in the city center or Entebbe airport for your onward flight.
